The Role

This fixed term role, commencing in January 2019 and required until the end of June 2019, will support the credit team through maintaining credit accounts within a designated client portfolio while identifying any financial risks and minimising exposure to bad debts in accordance with Elders policies.

Other responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Undertaking credit searches
  • Preparing submissions and coordinate approvals
  • Evaluating and make recommendations from Financial Statements
  • Providing account statements and missing invoices to clients and
  • Issuing collection letters to clients
  • Coordinating recovery action through Agencies and Solicitors
  • Monitoring and action daily reporting
  • Establishing new accounts within the AS400 system.

Key requirements to be successful in the position

  • Demonstrated understanding of debt recovery process
  • Proven ability to assess financial statements to make commercial recommendations
  • Initiative to make timely data based decisions
  • Professional with high work ethic and personal integrity
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers
  • Capacity to remain task focussed and prioritise under pressure
  • Advanced proficiency using the Microsoft Officer Suite
  • Experience using AS400 (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a credit collection role (desirable)
