Your new role
The Communications Specialist role is a critical role within a high-performing marketing and communications team.  Your role will be pivotal in helping the wider business achieve its strategic Eight Point Plan initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will support the delivery of key internal communication plans, calendars and strategy and provide critical support to the executive team. Perfect for someone with at least 5 years’ experience looking for their next step in comms. 

The role is responsible for providing engaging communications to our network across regional Australia, understanding this unique audience is critical to your success, as is the ability to balance this with company objectives.  

Utilising new and existing communication channels to deliver on our Eight Point Plan, you will provide communication support for the executive team, our Safety 7 plan, crisis management, sales and marketing activities, and intranet content development.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • At least 5 experience in an internal communication, marketing, journalism or other related role
  • demonstrated experience designing, planning and managing projects, strategy and calendars with complex stakeholder relationships
  • exceptional writing skills, to produce engaging content for a variety of internal audiences and mediums
  • strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • ability to manage competing deadlines, stakeholders and audiences.
  • initiative and drive to provide high levels of service and proactive thinking
  • strong consulting and networking skills across all levels of the organisation
  • experience or knowledge of agriculture and/or rural Australia
