The Role

Due to the continued growth of our Farm Supplies business we are looking for a Farm Supplies Sales Representative to join our Scottsdale team. This exciting and challenging role will see you working on farm with our clients to provide excellent customer service and farm supplies sales to achieve sales and earnings targets.

Duties will include:

  • Providing timely and accurate advice and recommendations about farm supplies both in store and on farm
  • Performing farm supplies sales and quotes
  • Forecasting and liaising with clients on seasonal requirements
  • Client deliveries as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their current and future needs
  • Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients
  • Support inventory management activities including stock control, product availability and stock take.

Reporting to the Farm Supplies Sales Manager, this role will liaise with people from across the business and will play an active role in representing Elders in campaigns, field days, community events and forums.

The Person

  • Agricultural background or strong interest in Tasmanian Agriculture
  • Knowledge of North East Tasmanian agricultural enterprises 
  • A passion for dairy and beef animal health and nutrition
  • A strong desire to achieve the best outcomes for our clients
  • Demonstrated high-quality written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and have good time management skills
  • Willingness and drive to undertake training and obtain the knowledge to be the very best in your field 
  • Although not essential, a qualification in an agricultural or related business discipline will be highly regarded.
