This role requires the individual to provide clients with wool sales and marketing expertise to achieve sales & earnings targets. This role will also assist in developing Branch employees’ knowledge of wool.
Responsibilities of this role include building and maintaining client relationships; managing the client interface for the wool sale’s end to end process, including strategies for passed in lots; identify and cultivate new wool sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients; achieve wool sales targets (at or above the commission rate target); and attend ram sales, advising clients regarding purchases to maximise clip return.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will liaise with people from across the business and will play an active role in representing Elders in campaigns, field days, community events and forums.
We’re looking for someone who has previous sales and sheep classing experience; ideally possessing a successful sales record in wool selling. You must be committed to the provision of high-quality customer service, as well as possessing extensive knowledge of clip preparation (review and presentation), animal health and ram and sheep selection. It is essential to understand your clients’ current and future needs, the region and our competitors. We’re also looking for someone who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will possess a driver’s licence. Elders will provide training in Auctions plus.
