The Role

Due to the continued growth of our Farm Supplies business we are looking for a Sales Support person to join our Deloraine team. This is a very diverse role that covers a broad range of duties including running the day to day operations of the Deloraine branch. Your other duties will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and logistics support to the Branch Farm Supplies team;
  • Stock forecasting, ordering and inventory management;
  • Administrative support for all of the sales process including daily cashiering;
  • Goods inwards and outwards;
  • Client deliveries as required.

Reporting to the Farm Supplies Sales Manager, this role will liaise with people from across the business and will play an active role in representing Elders in campaigns, field days, community events and forums.

The Person

  • Passion for agriculture and a strong interest in Tasmania Agriculture;
  • Although not essential, a qualification in an agricultural or related business discipline will be highly regarded;
  • Possess an understanding of agriculture products;
  • Understanding your clients’ current and future needs, the Deloraine region and our competitors;
  • Forklift licence and medium rigid licence or the ability to obtain these licences;
  • Committed to the provision of high-quality customer service;
  • Demonstrated high-quality written and verbal communication and customer service skills;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and have good time management skills;
  • Previous sales experience would be an advantage.
